In short: we collect what you send us, what our server needs to run the site and, with Google Analytics, which pages people read. We do not use ad pixels, and we never sell your details.
01Who we are
This site, krikir.com, is run by Krikir Technologies (OPC) Private Limited (CIN U62011MP2026OPC085940), registered at Petlawad, Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh 457775, India. Our Head of Sales works from Abbotsford, Canada.
For the personal data described here we decide how and why it is used, so in GDPR terms we are the controller, and under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 the data fiduciary. Write to hello@krikir.com with any question about this policy.
02What this privacy policy covers
This policy covers visits to this site, the Start a Project form, and the emails, calls and messages you send us before and during a project.
When we build or run a site, store or app for a client, the data inside that product belongs to the client. How we handle it is set by our agreement with that client, not by this policy.
03What we collect
We collect what you give us and a small amount of technical data:
The project form: your name, work email, company, the services you pick, when you would like to start, how you want us to reply, and what you write about the project.
Email, phone, WhatsApp and calls: your name, contact details, what you write or say, and our notes from the call.
Server logs: your IP address, browser, the page you asked for and the time. Our host keeps these to run the site and stop attacks.
As a client: billing details, the accounts and files you share for the project, and our messages with your team.
Google Analytics records the pages you view, your approximate location and your device. In the EU, the UK, Switzerland and Thailand, no analytics cookie is set before you accept or after you reject, but the Google tag can still send Google a cookieless hit with the page address and basic device details. Our cookie policy explains what it sets and how to turn it off. We do not use ad pixels, social media trackers or session recording on this site.
04How we use it
To reply to you, prepare for a call and send you a quote.
To plan, build and support the work you hire us for.
To keep the site and our accounts secure, for example by limiting how often the form can be sent from one address.
To keep the business records that tax and company law require.
We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one, and we never sell or rent your details.
05Our legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these grounds:
Steps before a contract: answering your enquiry and preparing a quote, at your request.
Contract: doing the work you hired us for.
Legitimate interests: keeping the site secure and keeping a record of our talks with you.
Legal duty: keeping invoices and accounts.
Consent: Google Analytics cookies where you accept them, and anything else we ask you to agree to first. You can withdraw it at any time.
Under India's DPDP Act we process your data for the purpose you gave it to us for, or with your consent.
06Who we share it with
Only the people and services that need it to do their part:
Our team, who see only what their part of the work needs.
The companies that host this site, run our email, measure visits (Google Analytics) and run our booking calendar (Cal.com). They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Services you choose to use with us, such as WhatsApp, which handle your messages under their own policies.
Courts, regulators or the police, when the law requires it.
07Where your data is kept
Our team works in India and Canada, and the services we use may store data in other countries. When we move personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we use the safeguards the law asks for, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
08How long we keep it
Up to 24 months, then deleted
As long as tax and company law require, up to 8 years in India
A short period set by our host for security, then deleted
09Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Show you the personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
Correct it, or delete it when we no longer need to keep it.
Stop or limit using it, or object to how we use it.
Move it to another service in a common file format.
Withdraw a consent you gave us.
Write to hello@krikir.com. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm who you are first.
If you live in California: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK, your local authority in the EU, the Data Protection Board of India, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the OAIC in Australia. We would like the chance to fix the problem first.
10How we protect it
The site runs on HTTPS. Our accounts are protected by strong passwords, only the people who need a file can open it, and the form is protected against spam and repeated sends. The form sends your message to us by email. If sending fails, we keep a private copy on our server so it is not lost, and only the newest 50 are kept. No system is perfectly safe, so if something goes wrong we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12Changes to this privacy policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you before it applies.
