What website design and redesign covers

This website design and redesign service suits a business whose site no longer says what it sells, or a launch that needs one landing page with one job. If your site looks fine and visitors still do not buy, start with a UX audit. If your needs are standard, a good template may do the job, and we will say so on the call.

Page plan

Which pages you need, the question each must answer and where a visitor goes next.

A sitemap of every page in scope
The question each page answers
Keep, merge or redirect for each old page

Page wireframes

The key pages as plain layouts with real headings, agreed before any colour goes in.

Desktop and phone layouts
Real headings, no placeholder text
Comments left on the exact spot in Figma

Page copy

Headlines and sections written or edited so people can skim them.

Headlines and section copy
Edits to the copy you already have
One clear next step on every page

Visual design

The home page and one page of each type, in your brand, on desktop and phone.

Designs in Figma for both sizes
Your brand's colours, type and imagery
WCAG 2.2 AA contrast checks

Ready sections

Colours, type, buttons and page sections set up so your team can add pages that still look right.

Colour and type styles
Buttons, forms and sections as components
The remaining pages designed from them

Build or handover

We build what we design, or hand it to your developers. Built pages are tested on a mid-range phone and measured against Google's Core Web Vitals thresholds, with no guarantee of a result.

A WordPress or Shopify build
A preview link to review as we go
Or Figma files, assets and specs for your developers

Refresh, full redesign or landing page?

Option Best for Keep in mind
Refresh

A site with sound structure and content that looks dated or uneven.

Page layouts and links stay, so deeper problems with what the pages say stay too.

Full redesign

A business whose offer or audience has changed since the site was made.

It means new content and planned redirects, so your team needs time to review copy.

Landing page

A launch, a campaign or one service with one action to take.

One page works best with one goal. Add more goals and it needs a site plan.

Two live sites to look at first

For Spice Web Media, a marketing agency in British Columbia, we made the brand and a site of 43 pages and posts, with 17 services and a booking button in every header, which the agency's team edits itself. For TriEye, a Norwegian sports eyewear brand, we built a Shopify store where a rider picks the mirror, lens and size on one page.

Krish did an excellent job building our website. He understood our business requirements and created a complete platform that makes exploring and booking Nile cruises easier. The design, functionality and overall experience were handled professionally. Very happy with his work.

Talk it through on a call

We look at what you have now and what you want it to do.

We tell you how we would do it and who would work on it.

You get a fixed quote in writing after the call, with nothing to sign until you are ready.

How a website project runs

Nothing moves on until you sign it off. Review happens in Figma, with comments pinned to the exact spot during your day. We agree a call time that works for both sides, and the rest of the review stays in writing.

Call and page plan

We agree the goals, the visitors and the pages. You approve a sitemap that says what each page must answer and, on a redesign, what happens to each old page.

Wireframes and copy

The key pages as plain layouts with real headings. You approve the structure and the words before any styling.

Visual design

The home page and one page of each type, in your brand, for desktop and phone. You comment in Figma.

Remaining pages

The approved look becomes ready sections and the other pages are designed from them. Every key page has your approval before any build.

Build or handover

Our developers build on a preview link you can click through, or your developers take the Figma files and specs.

Launch

Redirects go live and pages get a last check on a phone. The go-live decision is yours.

What you own after launch

The Figma files, the copy and, when we build, the code are transferred to you on final payment, under the contract. Domain, hosting and analytics stay in accounts in your name. The quote depends on the number of page types, who writes the copy, whether a brand exists and whether we build; hosting, fonts and plugin licences are third-party costs, which the quote lists.

Sitemap Every page in scope, with the question it must answer
Redirect sheet Each old address beside its new one
Designs Every page in the quote, on desktop and phone
Sections Colours, type, buttons, forms and sections as components
Copy The final page copy, ready to paste
Assets and specs Images and icons for the web, with notes on spacing and states
Accounts Domain, hosting and analytics logins, held in your name

How we plan for rankings in a redesign

No one can promise rankings. Google's site move guidance says visibility may fluctuate for a while after addresses change, so the redirect work starts with the page plan.

Find what earns traffic

Before design starts, we list the pages that bring visitors from search, so nothing that earns traffic is dropped by accident.

Map every old address

A redirect sheet pairs each old address with its new one, using permanent 301 redirects. On a design-only project, the sheet goes to your developers.

Check before launch

Page titles, descriptions and redirects are checked on the preview site, while a mistake is still cheap to fix.

Check after launch

We test the redirects on the live site and look for broken links in Google Search Console.

We plan every website redesign to protect your rankings, but no one can promise them. We list the pages that earn traffic, map each old address to a new one with permanent 301 redirects, and check titles and links on the preview site and again after launch.

After one call you get a fixed quote for your website that lists each page type. The number of page types, who writes the copy, whether a brand exists and whether we build move it most. Hosting, fonts and plugin licences are third-party costs, and the quote lists those as well.

The website design files, copy and code are transferred to you on final payment, under the contract. Your domain, hosting and analytics stay in accounts in your name, so you can move to another studio and take the site with you.

We do both, and usually build what we design, so the pages you approve are ones we know the platform can carry. If you have developers, we hand over the Figma files, specs and assets instead.

Yes, a website we build is set up so your team edits pages and adds new ones from ready sections. Spice Web Media's team edits its own pages, case studies and blog posts this way.

A website project runs mostly in writing: comments in Figma and a preview link you can open at any hour. We agree live call times that work for both sides.
