Webflow’s new plans reach more sites on 16 November. Here is what to check, and how Framer compares.

Webflow merged its CMS and Business plans in May, and the change reaches agency-run and legacy sites from 16 November. What moves, what to check on your site, and the limits that matter if you are choosing between Webflow and Framer.

A gold balance scale with green and mint blocks, for Webflow vs Framer

In short

  • From 16 November, Webflow's Premium plan replaces CMS and Business for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces and on legacy pricing, at their next renewal or billable change.
  • Former Business sites get 50GB of included bandwidth instead of 100GB. Former CMS sites get far more CMS items.
  • Neither platform lets you take a CMS-driven site with you as files, so check your exit before you build.

In May, Webflow folded two of its site plans, CMS and Business, into a single plan called Premium. Most existing sites moved at their first renewal on or after 29 June. If your site sits in a Freelancer or Agency Workspace, or is still on legacy pricing, you got longer: your change starts on 16 November 2026. If you are weighing Webflow vs Framer for a new site, the limits further down matter more than the price.

If an agency or freelancer built your Webflow site, you may be in that second group without knowing it. Webflow says the extra time was meant for those conversations between agencies and their clients, so now is the time to have one.

What changes on the Premium plan

Premium includes 20,000 CMS items and 40 CMS Collections. For sites on the old CMS plan that is a large step up, along with double the static pages.

Sites on the old Business plan mostly keep what they had, with two exceptions Webflow names. Bandwidth is cut in half, to 50GB included, and Webflow Cloud gets tighter limits. Bandwidth add-ons stay available, and Webflow says existing sites move to Premium automatically when the change reaches them.

The other change is AI. Webflow now counts AI use in credits on Workspace plans, with limits enforced since 29 June. If your team has started using Webflow’s AI tools every day, look at the usage dashboard before a monthly limit surprises you.

Three things to do this week

  1. Find out who owns the Workspace your site sits in. If the answer is your agency, ask them which plan the site will land on and when it renews.
  2. Open your site’s usage and read last year’s bandwidth. If you were on Business and regularly used more than 50GB, price the add-on or trim your largest files before renewal.
  3. Decide whether to lock in. Site owners can hold their current plan for one more year if they move to annual billing before the change reaches them. That buys time, but it only delays the decision.

Webflow vs Framer: how to choose

Prices move often, and both companies changed theirs this year, so compare the limits that shape your site instead.

How much content you have. Framer’s Pro plan includes 10 CMS collections and 2,500 items, and paid add-ons take it to 40 collections and 40,000 items. Its Basic plan has 2 collections and 1,000 items. Webflow’s Premium includes 40 collections and 20,000 items. A company blog fits on either. A large directory, or a site with thousands of location or product pages, needs the sums done first.

How you would leave. This gets checked last and matters most. Framer’s help centre is plain about this: you cannot export your site as HTML and host it yourself. Some marketplace plugins try to do it, and they come with their own limits. Webflow does offer code export on paid Workspace plans, but CMS content does not come with it, so a site built around the CMS will not work as it stands after export.

In both cases, keep your own copy of your content. Export your CMS collections to a spreadsheet from time to time, and know where your images live.

Who edits the site. Open a page in each tool and let the person who will update it try changing a heading, adding a post and swapping an image. Twenty minutes of that tells you more than any feature table.
